About the Journal
The Advances in Applied NanoBioTechnologies (AANBT) was established in early 2015 in the United Arab Emirates under the support of Dorma Journals, Dubai. The journal was founded to address the growing interdisciplinary need for a specialized platform connecting nanotechnology and biological sciences. At that time, research in nanobiotechnology was rapidly expanding, yet few journals were offering a focused and accessible space for studies at the interface of nanomaterials, biotechnology, and molecular biology. AANBT was created to fill this gap by providing an open-access environment for sharing scientific innovations in applied nanobiotechnology. Since its first issue, AANBT has been a quarterly, peer-reviewed, and free-of-charge journal dedicated to publishing original research articles and comprehensive review papers in all aspects of nanobiotechnology. The journal emphasizes the application of nanobiomaterials in biomedical, pharmaceutical, and biological fields, promoting a multidisciplinary dialogue among scientists, engineers, and medical researchers worldwide. The scope of AANBT covers a wide range of topics, including nanostructures, nanoparticles, quantum dots, nanotubes, nanowires, nanofibers, nanocomposites, nanoplasmonics, molecular engineering, nanofabrication, nanosensors, nanoelectronic devices, and nano-biomaterials. It also welcomes contributions related to nanomechanics, nanoprobes, nanostructure synthesis, characterization, manipulation, and quantum-size effects. The journal encourages research that advances the understanding of how nanostructured systems can improve diagnostics, therapeutics, and environmental applications. In early 2024, the journal signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University to enhance institutional and financial support. This collaboration allowed AANBT to partner with Knowledge E, a reputable publishing platform, for one year. During this period, the journal improved its visibility, accessibility, and global outreach. After one year, the collaboration with the university ended due to administrative and operational challenges, and the journal returned to full management under Dorma Journals. Since then, the editorial board and international reviewers have taken significant steps to enhance the quality and transparency of the peer-review process. Each manuscript submitted to AANBT undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review conducted by at least three independent experts, followed by a detailed editorial evaluation to ensure scientific integrity, originality, and relevance. Today, AANBT stands as a trusted international journal in the field of applied nanobiotechnology. It continues to provide an open platform for researchers to share discoveries in nanomedicine, nano-drug delivery systems, tissue engineering, biosensing, and bioinspired nanomaterials. The journal’s mission is to advance scientific understanding at the intersection of nanotechnology and life sciences, contributing to global progress in health, medicine, and biotechnology. With a vision of continuous improvement and international collaboration, AANBT remains committed to publishing high-quality research that bridges the gap between science and application in the nanoscale world.
